The activities that help to teach and reinforce the Bees and Hives theme are:

Your kids will sure stay busy with the lessons, worksheets and activities. You can learn how to make antenna from a headband, wire and Styrofoam balls and wear them as you do your work. You can also use them when you clean up and call them your "Busy Bees". It will be fun and the work done and toys cleaned up1

Learn about the life cycle of a bee and talk about that. Talk about how we change from a new baby to an adult and then and elderly person. It is fun to learn about and then make a connection between how the bees grow up and how we do1

One of our favorite bee activities is this rhyme:

Here is the beehive (make a fist, put it on the open palm of the other hand),
Where are the bees?
They're hidden inside
Where nobody sees!

Soon they'll come creeping
Our of the hive
One (show one finger), Two (show 2 fingers, etc.), Three, Four, Five.
Buzz, buzz, buzz, buzz. (Tickle kids as you buzz)

My kids beg for this rhyme over and over and over again. Finish off your bees activities with a honey sandwich and talk about how the bees make honey.
