A Poinsettia is a pretty plant that people enjoy looking at especially around Christmas. The plant has some leaves that can be red, pink, or white that people think are the flowers. Poinsettias are grown in all 50 states, but California produces 80% of those that are sold in the U.S.

You will need:
-1 (6 oz.) can of frozen limeade
-8 cups water
-3 cups sugar
-2 quarts of 7-up or sprite
-fresh lime slices
-maraschino cherry halves (optional)

Combine limeade with water and sugar. Stir until sugar dissolves. Freeze until solid. Two hours before serving remove from freezer and allow to thaw. One hour before serving, pour 2 quarts of 7-up over and allow to soften. Mash with a potato masher. Float fresh lime slices topped with maraschino cherry halves. It's been my experience that the frozen mixture can be put in the punch bowl much later than 2 hours before serving and still me mashed to a good consistency.)

You will need:
-frosting
-paper
-marker
-fruit-loops

Draw the shape of a Christmas Tree on a paper. Make sure the tree takes up as much of the paper as possible. Place a sheet of wax paper on top of your drawing and tape it to the table. Dip the fruit-loops into the frosting and "decorate" the tree. See what kinds of patterns you can make and how high you can stack the fruit-loops.

You will need:
-coffee filters
-Shaving cream
-food coloring
-scissors
-paper plates

Cut the coffee filters into snowflake shapes. Place a good amount of shaving cream on a paper plate and place a few drops of color in different places in the shaving cream. Swirl it around so the colors are in streaks or lines. Place coffee filter on the top of the shaving cream and gently push. Remove the filter and use a rubber scraper to gently remove any extra shaving cream and throw it away. Allow filter to dry and then hang up these colorful and creative snowflakes.

This is a really fun Christmas tradition that your family will love for years and years. Choose a family that might be a little more in need this holiday season. Then choose out 12 gifts you can give them. It can be something homemade or store bought. It can be simple or extravagant. Then on the 13th of December, you will go and leave the gift on their porch and then ring the doorbell and run (aka ding-dong ditch). You will continue to do this each night and try not to get caught. This is a lot of fun, but gets more tricky as they start to expect you each night.
