Moses is an Israelite baby in Egypt during a dangerous time. The King had commanded that all Israelite baby boys be killed. The mother
of baby Moses couldn't bear to have her baby killed so she hid him in a basket in the river and let it float down the river. The older sister of Moses was sent to hide and watch the baby as he floated along.
The daughter of Pharaoh found the baby and raised him as her own son.
Moses was very kind and as he grew began to notice how badly the Israelites
were treated and even killed an Egyptian while trying to protect one of
them. Because of this, he then had to run away to the land of Midian.
Moses then learned of the Lord's plan to save the Israelites from slavery.
He had faith in the Lord as he went to Pharaoh again and again to ask
for the freedom of the Israelites.
This story also teaches about when Moses receives the 10 Commandments,
