Create a new face for our pirate Pete. Is he going to be One-Eye-Mell today or Blue-Beard the Pirate? He can be the captain or the ships mate, its all up to you!
On the next page of our Pirate Ship Felt Book the ship is missing some very important pieces. It is up to you to help us find them! Pretend you are on a pirate ship. What kinds of things do pirates do? How do they talk? What do they eat?
On the flip side of the Pirate Ship Felt Book there are 16 treasure chest flaps. Hide the treasure chest lids and play a memory game. Take turns lifting up 2 lids to find matching treasure. The pirate with the most treasure at the end is the new captain.
Try to make up a pirate dance and a silly pirate song. Visit your library and check out a book about pirates. Then go for a walk around your neighborhood and try to find some "pirate treasure" of your very own. Some pretty rocks, coins, leaves, and flowers will work great! Share the treasure you've found with your family.
