Begin by telling the story to the children and then hand out the puppets. Let the kids retell the story themselves. If needed you can hand out the puppets a second time and let a second or third group of kids each tell the story of the Little Red Hen. It is neat to see how the kids interact and also to see what message touched them from the story.
