As a kindergarten teacher, I would choose: 1. The Mitten -I chose this story because we read a similar story in kindergarten and this is a great hands-on way for us to review the story and/or act it out! 2. Who Ate the Food? -I chose this story because we read a similar story in school and this fits perfectly with it! We also have an art project that my students do, and this is 1 more way for kids to get a hands-on approach with it. I could use this at a center with small groups of kids also! 3. Build a Bus - Perfect for September and our Bus Safety theme! A very important part of school safety-especially for those new kindergartners entering school for the first time. 4. Finger Play Fun with CD - teachers love rhymes and singing with children. It's all part of "phonemic awareness" and building a child's vocabulary. Finger plays, singing, and rhymes are such an important part of a young child's learning process! 5. Create a Clown - We discuss emotions and feelings on a daily basis at school. With 20 children in a room, we have the realm of emotions all of the time. Very educational and great way to demonstrate and act out the different emotions we all experience on a daily basis!
