People of all ages, sizes and ethnic backgrounds all come together in this one great felt set!
This People Felt Figures Set includes:
- 27 people felt figures
- 5 poems
The felt figures in the People Felt figures vary in size. The poems relate to family situations.
There are four families in this set to help you teach diversity and to provide hours of creative play. There are figures of an elderly man in a wheel chair and people wearing glasses. You can discuss differences in ages, races, appearances and life situations.
Use the People Felt figures to roll play situations at the grocery store or at home. Use the felt people to figure out solutions to problems or to correct behaviors. Or you can use the People Felt figures to tell stories about people you know or perhaps a local town or family story. It will be a fun way to learn about your family or town history.
Teach about differences between families by playing games. Try to find 10 differences. You can write them down and compare them. Talk about how all families are different and its okay to be different.
You can use the People Felt figures to discuss he responsibilities or chores that each family member does. What a fun way to divide up responsibilities!
You can also use the People Felt figures with the Lets Play House to have even more figures to play and pretend with. Another fun way to play is to use one of our plain felt boards or toggle books to take your People Felt figures with you as you run errands, go on vacation, or wait for an appointment.
The People Felt figures look more realistic than some of our other felt sets. The figures have been drawn to look more "true to life" than some of the make believe, cartoon looking figures that we have.
These People Felt figures are a great way for children to find a voice for feelings or insecurities in a safe, secure, and non-threatening way. You can use it during a therapy our counseling session or just in a family meeting or discussion.
I recommend the People Felt figures for kids ages 3 and up.
