As a parent of special needs children I picked:
1. Twin Toddler Felt Daper dolls
because it teaches your child the differnce between being a female and a male as well as teaches the child the different body parts.
2. I also chose What's Up Doc Toggle
because it teaches your child not to be so scared when u bring your child to the doctor. I know most children when they are young are very scared when they go to the doctor and I think this is a great way to show ur child that there is nothing to be afraid of. It also shows them how to behave while there at the doctor's office.
3. School Time Toggle Felt Book
because it helps prepare your child for when she starts school. I know this would help my 2 year old for when she starts school. It teaches them how they should act while in school and shows them that Mommy and Daddy won't be there.
4. I also chose Dress Me Girl Bear
because it teaches children how to get dressed. It shows them what clothes go were.
5. Kids Job and Chore Chart
because this will teach my kids responsibility and what they should be doing every day.

Karen Parker
(Karen's Daughter)
I am a parent of three wonderful children, one having special needs. I am always looking for resources to help teach all of my children the skills necessary to become a productive citizen. As a teacher of elementary and children with special needs, I also use these resources in my classroom.

As a parent of special needs children I picked:
1. The Itsy Bitsy Spider Felt Story-
As a parent of a special needs child, this product invites tactile, cognitive, and communication exploration. My child loves the song and we fingerplay throughout the music. Having the felt story is a wonderful way to enhance the learning skills of a special needs child.
2. Littlest Engine That Can-
As a parent of a child with special needs, there is always the premonition that the child cannot do as other children the same age. The Littlest Engine That Can is a perfect way to instill in youngsters the meaning of "I can if I try", even if just a little. I encourage my child with special needs to try. We've read this story many, many times and it is a favorite in our household.
3. School Time Felt File Folder Game-
As a parent and teacher, I have seen that all children love to play school. For my special needs child, the term "school" does not have meaning. When playing a game like the School Time Felt File Folder Game, it helps present "school" in in a playful way in which the child understands. It promotes all the aspects of school and is a great way to pretend play with other children.
4. The Hungry Caterpillar Eats Lunch-
My child has eating and speech difficulties. She cannot communicate except by pointing.I love this product because it is a way of introducing food pictures to my daughter and have her point to the foods she would like. I also use the book for counting practice and just to enjoy the story. My daughter loves to pretend play and the storytime felts would stimulate her senses and skills.
5. Twin Toddler Felt "Paper" Dolls-
As a parent of a child with special needs, I have had struggled with teaching my child self-help skills, especially dressing herself. By modeling with baby dolls, this task becomes a little easier. Introducing the felt dolls will give my daughter the fine motor skills as well as address the "dressing oneself" task.
