Use the story of Samuel the Lamanite a s a way to lead into the Birth of Jesus. Tell of Samuel's prophecy of what would happen before the birth of our Savior. You can also discuss the signs of the Crucifixion and Resurrection that Samuel also taught about.

The story of Mormon and Moroni is a great story to lead into a discussion of the Book of Mormon. You can talk about the destruction of the Nephites and how Moroni was a lone survivor. Talk about how Moroni hid the golden plates and later gave them to Joseph Smith Jr.
